Kensington
About
The Kensington radiators use the latest technology to provide responsive, efficient electric heating. Four key components work together to produce the high levels of efficiency that make our Kensington radiators truly unique.

Kensington radiators are manufactured from an Aluminium Alloy, die cast body which has been ergonomically designed using the latest CAD technology to ensure optimum transmittance of radiant heat in conjunction with gentle, natural convection which ensures the Kensington radiator range provides an efficient & consistent heat output that is evenly distributed throughout the room.
Each radiator is fitted with a Tungsten element that absorbs energy quickly but slowly emits heat to the fluid, therefore maximising power usage.
Each radiator is filled with a Low Viscosity Thermal Fluid which is designed to rapidly heat up and expand to cover the entire heat exchange surface, this provides fast heat transfer from the tungsten element to the aluminium "fins" resulting in 100% hot point effect. The Low Viscosity Thermal Fluid also has high heat retention which allows the energy absorbed to be used for the maximum period of time.
Each radiator is fitted with its own Intelligent Thermostat & Built-In Programmer. Room temperature is controlled to within 0.5C accuracy and the user can pre-set the comfort and background temperatures to their ideal level. The built-in programmer provides ultimate control, allowing the user to set which times of the day they require Comfort temperature, Economy temperature or Frost protection. Each thermostat can be manually over-ridden if the user chooses and each thermostat is equipped with a lockable option, thanks to the keylock facility, should it be required.
When operational, the radiator will draw power to provide the fastest heat-up time for the room. When the radiator reaches the required temperature it will automatically cease power consumption. The Low Viscosity Thermal Fluid will have rapidly expanded and the radiator will now have 100% hot point effect. Due to the elements slow release of power and the fluid's heat retention qualities, the radiator will continue emitting heat.
At some point, the radiator will drop below temperature, the thermostat senses this and operates the element to draw more power. Intelligently, the radiator calculates exactly how much power is needed to return the temperature back to the desired level and therefore, will only draw power for the exact amount of time necessary. Subsequently, by a radiator sensing when temperature is reached and ceasing power and then only drawing power for the exact amount of time as and when required, it uses power consumption in the most efficient way possible.
